Raymond Scott - Manhattan Research Inc.

Manhattan Research Inc. is a 2000 two-CD compilation of electronic music created by Raymond Scott in the 1950s and 1960s for film soundtracks, commercials, and for his own technical and musical experiments. The synthesisers used were constructed by Scott and Bob Moog. The recordings are examples of Scott's early use of analog sequencers and FX techniques.

Y'know, this release is still easily found at a reasonable price. It's still in print. Sharing in-print items like this make it less likely that such efforts will happen in the future. There's plenty more Scott in the vaults but every free share makes it less likely that those involved will take the time/effort/expense to make it available to the rest of us. So, to treasurebox, please limit your sharity activity to out-of-print recordings in the future. ThanX!

Yeah, you're right, it might be unfair to share such things, but don't you think that this is a very good advertisement for the disc as well? People 'll know what they are going to buy...

More important: if you D/L only this, you'll miss out on the AMAZING 150-page hardcover, full-color BOOK that's filled with incredible photos, interviews, etc., etc.! The book is almost more important than the recordings!

All audiophils and music collectors have to buy this incredible package, as long as it is available!

I downloaded this and went on to buy 2 of his other records. Some people don't have endless money and if we didn't download stuff we wouldn't hear it at all. I think it's better to just get the music out there so as many people can learn about Raymond Scott as possible.
